This oil has a lovely sharp, minty aroma from the herb. Antiseptic, refreshing and cooling. Has stimulating, cleansing and mildly antibacterial properties; also used to tone and purify congested skin and blocked pores and is known to be beneficial in the treatment of acne. Peppermint was widely used by the ancient Greeks and Romans and may have been cultivated by the Egyptians. (Cautions: Pure Peppermint essential oil should not be used in aromatherapy during pregnancy).
